New home builders have been building more homes this year than in any other year since 2006 in the Greater Phoenix Real Estate area.

There are a couple of good reasons for that. A significant reason is that resale inventory has been trending lower. We are operating with less than a 2 month supply of inventory. Limited selection of resale homes will often create higher demand for new homes. Another factor is that resale homes have risen in value to the point where a new home can be considered.

As a result, I have been busy showing and selling new homes…..much more than in previous years. I’ve always been active selling new homes but when there was an abundance of bargains available that were far less than the price of new home, I was much busier with resale homes.

I started my Real Estate career marketing new homes in a show home for McKee Homes in Airdrie, Alberta back in 1996. I had a few of the most knowledgeable teachers that the new home industry has ever had…that being the founder Martin McKee and continued on with his 2 daughters & son-in-law Grace McKee, Elaine & Rob Doel.  There I honed my new home expertise for the next 5 years before branching out on my own to sell new and resale homes with my partner and spouse Carol. Carol has always offered her clients the new home choice since 1992 ( in Alberta) so she has sold a multitude of them over the years as well. We have carried this wonderful experience on with us throughout our Real Estate careers and continued to enhance our knowledge and expertise.
