The city of Maricopa is in the deep south part of the Greater Phoenix Real Estate area. It is a satellite community or bedroom community of around 50000 people (2018) for those that work in the city and is also popular among winter vacationers from Canada and the colder parts of the USA. The drive from Sky Harbor International airport is about 40-45 minutes and it takes about 50-60 minutes to get to the NHL hockey arena or the NFL Cardinals football stadium at Westgate Entertainment District. Chandler Fashion Center, for an abundance of fine shopping and dining, is within 20 minutes or so from Maricopa.
